November 15, 2019. Shanghai – More than 1,000 alumni, students, faculty, staff and other guests joined members of the CEIBS management committee, including CEIBS President Li Mingjun, President (European) Dipak Jain, Vice President and Dean Ding Yuan and Vice President and Co-Dean Zhang Weijiong, at our Shanghai campus today for the CEIBS 25th Anniversary Celebration Gala.
In his opening speech, Prof. Li expressed a warm welcome and his sincere gratitude to all the officials and guests who attended the event, and highlighted some of CEIBS' important achievements over the past quarter century.
November 15, 2019. Shanghai – Co-founded by the Chinese government and the European Union on November 8, 1994, CEIBS has grown into a world-renowned business school and a recognised role model of effective co-operation between China and the EU. For over a quarter of a century, CEIBS has evolved from introducing and interpreting classic management theory from the west, to shaping and sharing Chinese management expertise in an era of globalisation.
November 15, 2019. Shanghai – Nicolas Chapuis, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to China, visited CEIBS on occasion of the school's 25th anniversary to congratulate the school on its achievements over the past quarter century.
In his address, Ambassador Chapuis said that, in 1994, the Chinese government and the EU made a forward-looking decision to establish a world-class business school in Shanghai and that, following 25 years of hard work, this goal has gradually become a reality.
On the occasion of CEIBS’ 25th anniversary, Yin Yicui, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress, and Yin Hong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, visited the school’s Shanghai campus on November 15 to extend their congratulations to CEIBS’ faculty, students, staff and alumni.
In a speech at the event, Deputy Secretary Yin Hong pointed out that, over the past 25 years, CEIBS has made great efforts to improve the quality of school operations and continuously drive innovation.
October 4, 2019. Paris – The CEIBS Insights 5th Europe Forum 2019 China-France Investment Dialogue, co-organised by CEIBS, the Committee of Exchanges Between France and China (CEFC) of CCI Paris Ile-de-France, and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France (CCICF), was held today at the H?tel Potocki in Paris on the theme of Consumption Upgrade: A New Opportunity for China-France Economic Co-operation.
October 03, 2019. London – Around 250 scholars, entrepreneurs and senior executives from China and the UK shared their views on new openings in the Chinese market for British firms, at the CEIBS Insights UK Forum in London.
CEIBS leaders and professors also joined in the discussions at the event, entitled “China’s Consumption Upgrade: New Opportunities for UK.”
The discussions took place against the backdrop of China’s ongoing evolution from “the factory of the world” to “the market of the world”, and the opportunities created by this transformation as the country’s population of 1.4 billion grows more affluent, and more aspirational.
August 5, 2019. Shanghai/Beijing/Shenzhen/Zurich/Accra – On November 8, CEIBS will formally celebrate its 25th anniversary. Looking back, we have discovered many stories which have not only helped us recall the numerous lessons learned along the way, but which also serve as valuable examples for future generations. On this special occasion, we thank you for playing an important part in CEIBS' first quarter-century and invite you to participate in a special campaign called the CEIBS Storybook Project.

July 12, 2019. Brussels – The CEIBS Insights 2019 Europe Forum series made its latest stop in Brussels today for a special roundtable workshop on the theme of The 4th Industrial Revolution: Opportunities and Challenges for Europe and China. The event, co-hosted by European economic think tank Bruegel, brought together nearly 100 representatives from CEIBS, the European Commission, the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union, and the EFMD, among others, for discussions exploring how China and Europe can balance policy and market forces to achieve sustainable technological innovation, how SMEs in both regions can leverage opportunities to expand into overseas markets, and how both sides can work together to improve bilateral cooperation.
July 5, 2019. Munich – China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) returned to the spectacular BMW Welt venue in Munich today for the latest instalment of the CEIBS Insights 5th Europe Forum 2019. The event, co-organised with Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany (CHKD), attracted approximately 300 participants and is part of CEIBS’ continued efforts to serve as a platform for dialogue and exchange between the Chinese, European and international business communities. This year’s Munich Forum coincides with the school’s on-going CEIBS 25th Anniversary Celebration and featured an array of talks and panel discussions around the theme of Fresh Impetus for China-Germany Cooperation: Consumption Upgrading and Technological Revolution.
June 8, 2019. Shanghai – As part of CEIBS’ on-going commitment to serving as a bridge between China and Africa, the school today hosted the 2019 CEIBS Insights China-Africa Forum: When China Meets Africa at our Shanghai campus. China-Africa business relations have developed rapidly in recent years, and China is now Africa’s largest trading partner.
In 2018, trade between China and Africa reached US$204.2 billion – a year-on-year increase of 20%. More than 3,700 companies currently operate in Africa, and China’s direct investment in Africa now exceeds $46 billion USD.
May 24, 2019. Shanghai – Representatives from more than a dozen European consulates in Shanghai along with top executives from numerous multi-national corporations were today welcomed to our Shanghai Campus for a special CEIBS Insights Executive Reception that included a keynote speech by Former Prime Minister of France and CEIBS Distinguished Professor Dominique de Villepin. The event, part of the on-going CEIBS 25th Anniversary Celebration, was held under the theme of China and the World: New Era and New Impetus.
May 17, 2019. Zurich – A comparison of Switzerland’s long history of innovation and China’s emerging global recognition as a major player in innovative processes and products provided the framework for spirited discussions during today’s Zurich leg of CEIBS Insights 5th Europe Forum 2019. The event, which also explored ways in which both countries can work together, was co-organised by China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Credit Suisse. It brought together thought leaders, innovators, and business minds from Europe and China to look at China’s evolution from copycat culture to leading innovator as well as how Switzerland has developed its own unique ecosystem for innovation.
May 15, 2019. Boston, USA — As the entire world keeps a watchful eye on the on-going US-China trade dispute, about 80 high-level Chinese business executives and entrepreneurs joined scholars from the US and China in Boston on May 15 for a discussion on how both sides can work together to break new ground in today's digital economy. Undeterred by the trade friction that has dragged on for more than a year, they gathered for a half-day event co-hosted by China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Z-Park Innovation Center.

Shanghai – In line with the school’s continued efforts to enhance ties between China and Europe, CEIBS this afternoon welcomed to our Shanghai Campus Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to China Nicolas Chapuis for a special Master Class on the topic of Bringing Europe-China Relationship to a New Level: What are the New Opportunities for EU Businesses in China and Chinese Investments in Europe? The event is part of the on-going CEIBS 25th Anniversary Celebration spanning 5 campuses on 3 continents.
April 13, 2019. Beijing & Shanghai — With an electronic laser light show to get the evening started and an impressive tech-inspired button push to end the night, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) today launched the China leg of its 25th Anniversary Celebration with parallel ceremonies in both Beijing and Shanghai. The launch followed an alumni-led CSR forum in the capital, and throughout the entire day there was a recurring theme of CEIBS’ role in educating business leaders who go beyond financial success to achieve global significance.
